Bloomington, MN – MatrixCare®, the highest-ranked and largest long-term post-acute care (LTPAC) technology provider in the United States, announces that its Director of Enterprise Interoperability, Doc DeVore, has been appointed to the Carequality Advisory Council for a two-year term. Carequality is an industry collaborative dedicated to accelerating progress in health data exchange among multi-platform networks, healthcare providers, and electronic health record (EHR) and health information exchange vendors. MatrixCare joined Carequality as a founding member in 2014.
Carequality was established in 2014 to create a framework to enable standards-based exchange between and among data-sharing networks to ensure the secure exchange of health information over the Internet. Today, more than half of all health care providers are connected through the Carequality Interoperability Framework exchanging almost 2 million records every month.
“This is an exciting time to be involved even more directly in the future of the Carequality framework,” DeVore said. “There are still many challenges to interoperability, so I am excited to be able to participate with some of the brightest minds in healthcare to meet those challenges head-on.” DeVore added that during his first meeting with new and returning Council members a real collaborative spirit was obvious. “Carequality has asked us to consider new use cases that not only enhance the query-based document exchange framework, but extend the value of Carequality for real-world problems. The more we can unlock the tools available in standards based exchanged, the more opportunity there is to develop solutions that lead to patients more involved in their own care.” DeVore’s excitement and readiness to serve on the Carequality Advisory Council demonstrates MatrixCare’s continued commitment to improving interoperability in the LTPAC continuum.
