Nationally Recognized Health IT Company Helps ‘Give Back to Those Who Have Given’
July 11, 2018
BLOOMINGTON, MN – MatrixCare®, the highest-ranked and largest long-term, post-acute care (LTPAC) technology provider in the United States, today announced its upcoming event in partnership with Ageless Aviation Dreams Foundation. This event will take place on Wednesday, July 11th at Flying Cloud Airport in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Senior residents of MatrixCare clients Benedictine Health Systems and Lutheran Home Association will take off in a 1942 Boeing Stearman—the airplane used to train military aviators in the 1940s. The senior flyers include veterans of World War II and the Korean War. Former pilots will be invited to take the stick and maneuver the plane. Each participant will take a 15-20-minute flight, soaring 1,000 feet above the heads of the participants’ neighbors and friends.
“We’re strong supporters of Ageless Aviation Dreams Foundation because its mission is aligned with MatrixCare’s mission to improve the quality of life for America’s seniors,” said John Damgaard, President & CEO of MatrixCare. “One of our core values is ‘Happiness Matters’ and when you see the gleam of excitement in these seniors as they board the plane…and the thrill they get—not only from the flight but also for being honored for their past service—well, it’s very rewarding and humbling to be a part of that.”
MatrixCare kicked off its 2018 support of Ageless Aviation at a fundraising event held in conjunction with the NIC Spring Investment Forum in Dallas on March 8th and looks forward to coordinating many more dream flights with seniors at MatrixCare customer sites in the future.
