You may have seen the recent announcement that ResMed, a global leader in connected healthcare solutions, publicly announced that it has entered into an agreement to purchase MatrixCare.

If you are not familiar with ResMed, it is the world’s premier tech-driven medical device innovator, leading the next frontier of connected devices and solutions to reduce costs across the healthcare continuum, and improving tens of millions of lives worldwide. ResMed develops, manufactures, markets and sells medical products and solutions for the treatment and management of respiratory disorders, with a focus on sleep-disordered breathing. ResMed’s combination of industry-leading devices and innovative software solutions has transformed the sleep-disordered breathing market.

In 2016, as part of a broader strategy to create a fully integrated software ecosystem for individuals and providers in the out-of-hospital care market, ResMed acquired Brightree, a leading provider of cloud-based clinical and business management software for home medical equipment (HME) providers. Building on this, ResMed recently acquired HEALTHCAREfirst, a leading provider of software solutions and services for home health and hospice (HHP) agencies. MatrixCare solutions and services, which are complementary to Brightree and HEALTHCAREfirst, establish ResMed as one of the leading providers of software solutions across the full range of out-of-hospital care settings in the U.S.

We are excited about this acquisition and the opportunity to join forces with ResMed, Brightree, and HEALTHCAREfirst. This combination will allow us to drive further enhancements and innovations to MatrixCare solutions and the opportunity to extend key technology and innovations across all ResMed-owned software platforms over time. This means we will be in a better position to serve you, and to improve both the patient or resident experience and your business outcomes.

We do not anticipate any disruption to your business as a result of this acquisition, and there will be no immediate changes to how you interact with MatrixCare. You will continue to be served by your existing sales and customer service representatives and continue to purchase and utilize MatrixCare software products and solutions as you have in the past. We will notify you if there are any changes, but for now, it’s business as usual.

Q: Will my account manager be changing for any products, services, and solutions?
A. There are no immediate changes to how we do business with you. You will continue to be served by your existing account manager and support team. You may continue to order products and solutions as you have in the past without interruption. We will notify you in advance if there are any changes.

Q: Will there be any effect on my existing contract?
A: No, all existing MatrixCare agreements remain in effect. If you have any questions regarding ordering, pricing or billing, please contact your current MatrixCare account manager or Customer Service department.

Q: Are there any changes to how I pay my invoices?
A: There are no changes to the current billing and payment processes. If you have any questions regarding ordering, pricing or billing, please contact your current account manager or Customer Service department.

Q: Is there a change to the support process?
A: MatrixCare customer support contact information, processes and procedures will not be changed.

Q: Whom do I contact if I have questions?
A: Please contact your current MatrixCare account manager or the MatrixCare Customer Service department.

Q: Will I need to change software platforms?
A: MatrixCare’s offerings are complementary to those of Brightree and HEALTHCAREfirst. There are no plans to require customers to migrate to a new platform as part of this acquisition.
