Skyway Program Overview

MatrixCare is committed to continued improvement and innovation in our product offerings. While Payroll and TouchTime have served our clients well for many years, we have developed advanced products built on a more powerful platform to take advantage of new technologies. Our Skyway Program offers our current Payroll clients the technology and tools to help users comply with the heavy regulations (IRS, ACA, PBJ) in this area of business with our new Payroll Plus and TimeTracker applications at an affordable price point with a smooth transition.

MatrixCare Payroll and TouchTime will be retired effective December 31, 2018. This means that users of those products will need to migrate to our new Payroll Plus and TimeTracker prior to that date because important year-end reports will NOT be available in the current Payroll system:

  • 2018 W-2s cannot be generated/printed.
  • 2018 ACA (1094 & 1095) cannot be generated/printed.
  • 2019 tax tables will not be available.

For MatrixCare AP/GL users, this means that your payroll data will no longer flow directly to your existing General Ledger. However, MatrixCare now offers a more robust AP/GL solution, MatrixCare Enterprise Financials, which does integrate with Payroll Plus. We encourage you to take advantage of special pricing incentives available for Enterprise Financials as part of this product migration.

1. What is the impact of this program on current users when Payroll and TouchTime are "retired"?

2. Will the MatrixCare Accounts Payable and General Ledger modules be retired?

MatrixCare has discontinued selling AP and GL, but for current users, there are no imminent plans to retire these products. While no additional enhancements will be added, we will continue to support AP and GL into the future. However, in their place, MatrixCare now offers a more robust solution, MatrixCare Enterprise Financials, which does integrate with Payroll Plus. Learn more here

3. Why has MatrixCare decided to retire the Payroll, HR, and TouchTime product/modules?

With the heavy regulations in this area of business (IRS, ACA, PBJ), MatrixCare is committed to providing the most efficient and intuitive solutions to help our clients with compliance. While Payroll and TouchTime have served our clients well for many years, our Payroll Plus and TimeTracker applications provide a host of valuable benefits over our older products and our competitors. 4. What will happen to my historical data?

For clients who migrate to Payroll Plus and TimeTracker, critical data will be converted, including employee demographics, current year (2018) earnings, and various set-up libraries such as departments, deductions, etc.

MatrixCare will offer access to your existing PR/TT system complete with your data for a specified transition period of up to 12 months. After that, MatrixCare can provide an archived copy of your data for your records.

5. How long does it take to implement Payroll Plus and TimeTracker?

From start to finish, your new Payroll Plus system should be up and running in approximately 8 weeks. Please note that this timeline may be adjusted based on the size of your organization and other factors.

6. How much set up does this transition require?

Since your historical balances, and much of your set-up information and libraries will be migrated from the old Payroll system, very little manual set-up will be required. However, Payroll Plus offers new features and options that may impact the way you use the system. Therefore, this will be the perfect time to work with your Implementation Project Manager to tune up your set-up.

7. What about training?

MatrixCare offers a variety of options for training. Your MatrixCare Implementation Project Manager will create a plan that best fits the needs of your organization.

8. How much does it cost to move to the new products?

Current Payroll and TouchTime customers are eligible for special pricing incentives to migrate to our Payroll Plus and TimeTracker software.

Current AP/GL customers are also eligible for special pricing incentives to migrate to our Enterprise Financials solution.

9. When should current Payroll/TouchTime clients switch to Payroll Plus/TimeTracker?

All clients must be moved off PR/TT by Dec 31, 2018, but it is in the client’s best interest to take advantage of the tiered pricing incentives. Contact your Account Manager for details.

10. Is MatrixCare retiring any other products?

MatrixCare is committed to continued improvement and innovation in our product offerings. Sometimes that means upgrading to a new platform in order to take advantage of new technologies. However, we always do our best to provide tools and incentives to make migration to new products as seamless and affordable as possible.
