Next Generation Mobile Care Delivery Platform For LTPAC Providers Supports Resident-Centric Care To Drive Better Outcomes

Bloomington, MN – MatrixCare®, the largest LTPAC technology provider in the United States, today announced the general availability of MatrixCare CareAssist, an innovative, mobile, device independent solution that will become the primary care delivery interface for clinicians and caregivers in LTPAC care settings. The initial release combines Point of Care and electronic medication administration (eMAR) in one highly usable, intuitive application and future releases will add specialized clinical assessments and care coordination via teleconsultations with physicians and other members of the care team. MatrixCare CareAssist will allow caregivers to easily document in real time services provided and changes and exceptions to care. Caregivers have information regarding unique resident preferences at their fingertips, resulting in increased efficiency and improved quality of care.

John Damgaard, MatrixCare President and CEO, commented, “Delivering on the triple aim while the senior population explodes and the caregiver population remains constrained requires LTPAC providers to dramatically improve caregiver efficiency. MatrixCare CareAssist helps the entire care team understand the unique preferences and clinical condition of each resident and effectively coordinate care to deliver consistent, efficient, resident-centric services in both skilled and non-skilled care settings. We have applied human factors engineering principles to CareAssist to deliver a highly intuitive mobile user interface and have also integrated CareAssist with our Clinical Coach clinical decision support technology, resulting in superior care and better outcomes.”
