What reasons are at the top of your list for switching EHRs? Hear what was important to these skilled nursing (SNFs) operations when they decided to make the switch. Transcript We wanted to go with an electronic health records provider that would be a permanent fixture here that would be able to provide for us for years to come. We know that Matrix Care is always improving. While working with Matrix Care and working specifically in the EHR. It is phenomenal the way that we’re able to construct it to how we need to utilize it. Matrix Care was always listening, taking notes and making sure that they were going to provide the service that we needed. We didn’t want a system that would be bogged down with caregiving staff in front of a computer. What we wanted was a system that did create that efficiency, which allows them to do more patient care, more hands on care, helping that resident might need a little extra time. Matrix Care has helped my staff spend quality time with the residents with the ability to get in, again, do their documentation that is required and allow them to get back on the floor and take care of residents, which is what we take pride in. We had a very short timeline for implementation. We also didn’t have a lot of staff to throw at this. Matrix Care was able to come up with a timeline that fit what we needed and was able to provide these services to get everybody up and running on that short timeline Having Matrix Care on board has certainly made my staff much happier. We seem to be more efficient with everything care that will give us more time with our residents. The fact that it’s just there to supplement care and not to take us away from resident care. We know we’re small, but we know that we’re important because what we do is important. And I think Matrix care for us saw what we do and the importance of what we do, and it made the difference to us.
